Christina ''Quis'' Chen began her formal makeup training in her teens while assisting an established bridal makeup artist. After graduating from college with a business degree, she decided to pursue her dreams and relocate to Hollywood where she attended the prestigious Cinema Makeup School for further training. She is also a licensed esthetician. Her work has been published internationally in multiple magazine publications, films and TV. She is also a co-founder of MENU Beauty, a brand celebrating natural beauty.
Having lived in Taiwan and Australia for most of her life, she is familiar with clients of all skin tones and is aware of the different perceptions of beauty people of different cultures hold. Although she is trained in all areas of makeup, making people feel happy and confident continues to be the motivation behind her work.

MENU beauty was born when Christina and Jane, two seasoned bridal makeup artists, decided they were sick and tired of paying premium prices for luxury quality makeup. "Is there no way to buy quality makeup without breaking the bank", they asked? They spend their daily lives beautifying women for their 'BIG DAY'.
Why can't we bring a part of that special magic to their everyday look? We wanted it to be a line easy to use for the everyday woman. MEnU is, makeup for ME and YOU.

For us, doing makeup is more than knowing how to blend eyeshadow or apply the perfect red lip. Most importantly, our job is to make you comfortable and pampered.
It takes two to tango! We believe it is a collaborative effort between the two of us to find the perfect look for your big day. We love to understand your personal aesthetics, insecurities, overall wedding concept in order to find the best match for your features. What brands do you use in your kit?
I work with a lot of different brands including Cle de peau, Tom Ford, Charlotte Tilbury, Pat Mcgrath, Laura Mercier, Lunasol, Suqqu, Chanel, etc. I'm not married to one brand, but I am always looking for the products that I think works best for my clients.
Will you be working any other events on the day of the wedding?
No, I only take one wedding a day to make sure I can be present and flexible for my clients' schedule needs.
Do you work with a team?
Yes, I do have a team of experienced artists for larger wedding parties to ensure a shorter getting ready timeline.
Where is your studio?
We are located at 409 Brannan Street, Suite 8, San Francisco 94107. It's a 10 minute drive to city hall!
How much time do you spend on the bride and bridal party?
I always schedule 3 hours for bridal services and 45 minutes per additional service.
Do you stay for touch-ups?
I offer hourly personal assistance services as an optional add-on for brides who would like me to help them out on the wedding day. Read more about it here and here.
